Commenting on an Application

A Planning Application goes through a number of different stages while being processed by the Local Authority. These different stages are associated with different Application status categories. At different stages in the Application process, the Application may or may not be available for comment.

Only if the Planning Application is valid, is it possible to comment on an Application. In PublicAccess, if an Application is not valid, it is not possible to comment on an Application. Each Local Authority is responsible for deciding when an Application is valid or not for comment. If an Application is not available for comment it may be due to one or more of the following factors: the Application's current status, overall expiry date and target date.

To comment on a valid Planning Application, click the Submit Comments button. This will open an online form into which the required information should be entered. Send your comments to the Local Authority by selecting the Submit Comments button at the end of the form.
